Detection and Correspondence of Image Features
Hasmanda, Martin ; Kohoutek, Michal (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor‘s thesis was obtain basic knowledge about image processing. Especially was this work specialized on features detection in images captured from different perspectives and for finding correspondences between those images. Preliminary were to be described the basic principles for understanding computer vision such as perspective projection, description model of the camera and two views geometry. From methods of the detection was introduced best-known and most widely used of the detectors Harris corner detector. He is independent of images rotation and he is analyzed in detail. Further was described SIFT detector, that is independent of images scale. In this work further be described to several methods for finding correspondences of images features. First were to be described and derived two basic transformation matrixes that arrange to the association with features of two images. The first homography matrix describes transformation of two 2D views and fundamental matrix. Fundamental matrix obtains from two images full information of captured 3D scene and projection matrixes of cameras. For to primary definition correspondences were to be used to methods SSD and NCC. These methods match correspondences after similarities surroundings of features. These methods unfiled correct assignment features. Therefore uses stochastic RANSAC algorithm. The RANSAC algorithm was in detail described in this work in basic form and further modified on MLESAC algorithm. This algorithm can find better correspondences than RANSAC. In the end was described simple application for implementation introduced methods.
Processing of Stereoscopic Video Sequence
Hasmanda, Martin ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
The main goal of this master’s thesis was get up used methods for observation the stereoscopic scene with one couple of cameras and find out good solving for processing these resulting pictures for two-view and multiple-view autostereoscopic displays for three-dimensional perception. For methods for acquisition video was introduced two methods. They were method “Off-axis” with parallel camera axis and method “Toe in” with intersections axis. For fit method was choice the method named as “Off-axis“. It was not produces the vertical parallax and in detail was in this work described principle of this method. Further were describe principles off used methods for three-dimensional perception namely from the oldest method named anaglyph after methods for viewing at autostereoscopic displays. The Autostereoscopic displays were main goal of this thesis and so their principles were described in details. For production the result image for autostereoscopic displays was used generation intermediate images between left and right camera. Resulting videos were acquisition for testing scene in created in 3D studio Blender, where was possible setting system of cameras exactly parallel axis. Then were introduce principles processing video where was extract from the couple of cameras where were connected to PC for help digitizing card and next time with two web cameras. Here is not guaranteed exact parallel axis system. Therefore this work try for real cameras achieve exactly parallel axis system by the help of transformations of frames with stereo rectification. Stereo rectification was solving with OpenCV libraries and was used two methods. Both methods work from principles epipolar geometry that was described in this work also in detail. First method rectifies pictures on the basis fundamental matrix and found correspondences points in two images of the scene and second method rectifies pictures from knowledge intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of stereoscopic system of cameras. In the end of this work was described application for implementation introduced methods.
Detection of Corresponding Points in Images
Ptašek, Martin ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is concerned with detection of corresponding points in two digital images. It summarises and describes basic, new and modern methods of detection of interest points. It also describes methods for determinating equivalence of image parts. Work itself includes design of application and describes implementation of corresponding points detector based on segmentation method MSER. Application was written in C programming language and uses Open CV graphic library under Windows XP operating system. Results that summarise characteristics of detector illustrate potential of chosen methods.
Common Image Stereo-Pair Processing for Simple Stereo-Geometry
Peloušek, Jan ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
This Bachelor´s thesis considers the basics of epipolar geometry, explains the process of the automatic correspondency detection, describes principals of the fundamental matrix computation and finally the virtual camera view morphing between two images. There were described some of the basic Intel´s OpenCV library functions joined with this issue and describes de facto the computer stereo-pair processing. As a part of this thesis, there is the application, programmed in the C++ language in the Borland C++ Builder 6.0 developer´s environment by using the OpenCV library. This application demonstrates some of here-mentioned terms such as the fundamental matrix computation and the virtual camera view morphing. In relation to the Borland C++ Builder 6.0 using there was described the integration method of OpenCV to this environment.
Gift-giving as Symbolic Communication in the Noble Society of Bohemia and Moravia at the Beginning of the Early Modern Age
KALIVODA, Jakub
This diploma thesis concerns itself with gifts in the noble society of fifteenth century Bohemia and Moravia. With the use of epistolary sources, the thesis tries to describe the nobles sending or receiving gifts, the items making up the gifts and the purpose of this social act. The number of uncovered letters allowed for quantitative approach; however, the sources are also analysed semantically. The thesis considers gift giving a mode of communication, used to convey information. Gift giving is theoretically approached on the basis of the works of Marcel Mauss, Pierre Bourdieu and others.
Hildegard of Bingen: Saint, Nun and Healer
HLÁSKOVÁ, Lenka
The topic of this work is a look at the treatment procedures and medical ideas of a medieval healer known as Hildegard of Bingen. This woman became well known even during her lifetime not only as a healer, composer, writer and visionary, but also because she was an abbess and founder of two monasteries. She wrote many works of mystical, religious and medical nature and among her endeavours there are also musical compositions. An extensive collection of her correspondence has been preserved, which documents regular exchange of letters with powerful people of her time, for example the cistercian monk Bernard of Clairvaux, popes Eugene III. and Alexander III., emperor Frederick I. Barbarossa, bishop Daniel of Prague and archbishop Kristián Buch of Mainz. The aim of my work is an attempt to understand the sources of Hildegard's healing abilities and explore the assumed conflict of the knowledge acquired through study and practice, and the sources originating in her visions.
Lords of Hradec and Slavata´s of Chlum and Košumberk in the middle of the 16th century
BLÁHOVÁ, Gabriela
This diploma thesis deals with two aristocratic families in the middle of the 16th century. The thesis focuses on their connections and relationships between the two most important family representatives - Jáchym from Hradec and Diviš Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk. The first chapter describes the current research on the early modern nobility and their daily life. The second chapter deals with the lords of Hradec with emphasis on Jáchym. The next chapter deals with Slavats of Chlum and Košumberk and Diviš Slavata. The last chapter constitutes the core of given thesis. It describes the formal characters of Diviš's correspondence to his brother-in-law Jáchym and analyses the topics of his letters. Part of the diploma thesis is the edition of this correspondence.
Vincent Willem van Gogh and his drawing which appeared in the letter 520 written to his brother Theodorus van Gogh
SOLDÁTOVÁ, Aneta
The Bachelor thesis is focused on the Vincent Willem van Gogh and his drawing that is described in the 520th letter adressed to Vincent van Gogh´s brother - Theodorus. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part aims to show and describe the life and work of well known painter. It deals with the cultural-historical background of the artist's work. The theoretical part is also focused on the correspondence of Vincent and his brother Theo. The correspondence also contained small drawings describing the artist´s work. For us readers, it brings a closer look into his artistic intentions and explains the hidden personal essence of the artist. The practical part is focused on one of the drawing sent in the letter under number 520. This small drawing has become a source of inspiration for the artistic - practical part. The aim of the practical part is to further develop the themes from the particular letters in form of pen-and-ink drawings or just drawings. The readers can find the quoted pictorial material in the appendix in the final part of the work.
Schwarzenberg Archivist František Tyl in mutual correspondence with the historian Josef Kalousek - an annotated edition of the preserved correspondence
POTUŽNÍKOVÁ, Eliška
The qualification thesis entitled Schwarzenberg Archivist František Tyl in mutual correspondence with the historian Josef Kalousek - an annotated edition of the preserved correspondence is based on the study of personal documents and aims to bring its reader a picture of the life and activities of Schwarzenberg archivist and librarian František Tyl (1830-1899) mutual interaction with the important Czech historian Josef Kalousek (1838-1915). František Josef Tyl worked for many years as an archivist at the Schwarzenberg Castle Archive in Orlík nad Vltavou, where he probably also met Josef Kalousek (during his frequent research in the South Bohemian archives) for the first time. The diploma thesis begins with a topic with a list of used archives and literature. The text itself is divided into three main parts, namely acquaintance with both actors (including information about their professional work or author's work), analysis and thematic analysis of edited documents and an annotated edition of mutual correspondence from 1885-1898. The text of the annotated edition is a necessary editorial note and contains all preserved correspondence between František Tyl and Josef Kalousek, which is in the personal collection of J. Kalousek in the National Museum Archive and in the collection of the Orlík nad Vltavou Agricultural and Forestry Archive located in the State Regional Archive in Třeboň. Ninety-one documents made available for publication are arranged chronologically. Each document has a brief abstract with the date and place of origin of the document and its short description, a natural part of the edition is also a register of names. The last part of the presented work contains an exhaustive list of sources, literature, Internet resources and, among other things, pictorial appendices.
